The Huayan Peak is an independent peak of Mt. Emei. It is known as an odd, sheer and beautiful summit. It looks like a tower in the distance, which stands on this mountainside. In the Qing Dynasty, people built Huayan temple here, which is dedicated to Sakyamuni and the Goddess of Mercy in jade.
Standing on the summit, visitors can overlook the Golden Summit, Nine Sages' Cave, Wannian Temple, and even the city of Emeishan on fine days, therefore, Huayan Peak is also called the Small Golden Peak.
